The first time I was asked "why don't you write a book on nutrition?", I was amazed: I was practically speechless (and I don't get that so often!). I thought: but how can I write a book myself, when there are so many (most unfortunately in English) by authoritative and highly competent authors on the subject. But then I thought to myself: but it is the my experience and my husband's, that of hundreds of the my patients that will track the history of my book. And here I am: I want to tell you the story of so many of my patients who are doing well after changing their diet and their lifestyle, have lost weight and they have maintained it, they have reduced drug intake for blood pressure and diabetes, no longer have migraines, no longer complain of stomach ache, heartburn and bloated abdomen, have solved problems with acne, have more energy And they no longer know what sluggishness and hunger attacks are.

Think that an individual eats in 80 years of life from 30 to 60 tons of food. You understand that we cannot underestimate the effects of what we eat: the impact is too great. We have to be knowledgeable Of what we eat. Once this awareness is achieved, the rest is a breeze.

Your routine daily is really crazy: you have work, husband/wife, children, parents, hobbies, mortgage, .....responsibilities and duties nagging at you. You certainly do not need a "diet" that complicates your life and takes up a lot of your already somewhat cramped time. Instead, you need a way of eating simpleeasily achievable, enabling you to feel good and lose weight, should overweight be your problem, while maintaining the weight you have achieved.

For more than 20 years I have been a physician. There are many people I have seen presenting with a wide variety of health problems, especially those that are the scourge of our time and too often a consequence of being overweight: hypertension, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, cancer diseases,.........many of these patients receive disparate tips On how to eat, what and how much to eat, what not to eat. Many of them have followed at least 5-6 different diets in their lives, with the well-known jo-jo effect. But the main enemy of dieting is dieting itself!!! Diet in fact makes people sick and fat.: It sounds like a paradox but it is so. Every diet or rather every attempt to lose weight increases the risk of exceeding the initial weight and puts the individual at risk for the onset of eating disorders.

The word diet, which is derived from the Greek diaita, means lifestyle. It would thus be an entirely apt word. Alas, however, the meaning attributed to it is now synonymous with sacrifice, renunciation, and.........si in short, a punishment. It is very important to me that my patients and also you, dear readers, understand that your eating style and with it your lifestyle must be changed for your well-being and forever.

In this book I would like to show you that you can eat perhaps differently than you used to, that you don't have to weigh food or count calories and still be happy and content.
